They threw it right up on the lift while I wait.
IDrain plug was loose. Manager is annoyed. Apparently, this tech is a repeat offender. There is also a leaky gasket they need to replace. It will be done today.
The guy who runs the Sunchaser owners’ group on FB says that after 6 years of trying, he has only tracked down 70 Sunchasers out of approximately 2500 built. More rare than we thought. Mine has to be top 5 for condition.

glad it was just the plug - too bad about that tech, probably shouldn’t be in that line of business...

Beautiful car, makes me wonder where we went wrong over the years.

My dad had a similar thing happen - only worse. The tech put the drain plug on just a little bit while he went and did something else. He then forgot. On the way home, my dad heard a bang as the plug hit the ground, bounced up and hit the underside of the car. Christmas tree of lights, warnings, smoke, and trail of oil behind the car. I can’t remember if it was with his Jeep or his Kia. Either way, he had driven like 20 extra miles for his free dealer oil change only to have that happen.
Unfortunately, my dad lives in New England where it’s either ball-sweat degrees or freezin’mah’nutz’off outside. So doing his own oil changes is kind of out. I really wish I could just negotiate a lifetime supply of Mobil1 with my car purchases.

Someone is getting fired.
Unless they don’t know you’re an attorney, then it’s a 50/50 chance.

I would suggest the Concours d’Elegance, but you are probably (and delightfully) too down to earth for that crowd.

Glad it was simple!

Could’ve been much worse, and could’ve been a over-tightened Drain plug. Hopefully they get the oil pan leak sorted as well.
